Just experiment with the sliders...
I mostly use Pixmantec RAW-Shooter Premium...
Gives me more playground and better results to my liking...

Exposing towards the right (without blowing up too much) is the best way to get most out of the image, and surely you are on the right track ;-)
very upsetting actualy, and quite in relation with my previous comment (the painter looks at an egg and paints a bird).
I shall try the software...
There is really much more information contained in the RAW file. Since I discovered it, I stopped to use the JPG format :)
